The 905, upon my return from Cuba
Winter in the suburbs
Day before New Year’s Eve and the day after New Year’s Day
One of my last views of home from my whirlwind trip back to Ontario in October. My brain has been buzzing with things to do in both my home and work lives before I depart on Friday afternoon. I’ve never worked this close up to Christmas and have my hands mostly full of items I need to cross off multiple “To Do” lists. It was said that December would be quiet and that there’d be time to catch up of semi-neglected things. Yes and no. There is a slightly ominous hum when you walk into my workplace. It is the eerie hum of quietude - there are a few students here and there but for the most part, the building is a ghost town. 1.5 days left at the races! I’m so ready to get out of these parts for a while!
The view from my childhood bedroom, which I have missed. It feels strange to look at a winter image in this season.
Dawn and I, just about six years ago… summer bicycle rides and I remember there being cattails and these lovely berries

Three views of balloons I made go downstream
I am re-living some old photographs (can you tell?) - these ones being from 2004, when I first started my BFA, what feels like eons ago
Reliving my childhood with Zara and elastic bubbles (this was her first time playing with them!). I did not remember them being this smelly but it’s made of acetone, so of course.
Raspberry, my niece, came into this world on a cold, wintery day in Ottawa three years ago. This was her in June last year - one of the last times we were able to hang out.
